Mentorship

KABANC is pleased to announce the KABA Family-Based Mentorship Program. The Program is designed to create mentorship pods of Bay Area KABANC law students, junior attorneys, and senior attorneys who are members of KABANC.

Endorsements

The purpose of the KABANC Endorsements Committee is to promote the appointment of qualified judicial candidates to the federal and state judiciary who have demonstrated a commitment to the Asian Pacific American community or to any other minority or disenfranchised group. We evaluate potential candidates as well as identify and encourage qualified Asian Americans to apply for judicial positions.

Pro-bono Opportunities

KABANC holds quarterly pro-bono clinics in San Francisco City, San Jose, and Oakland.  We provide interpreters for our clinic clients for those who may need language support.  Please contact Pia Kim at piakim83@gmail.com or Stephan Choo at chooaka24@yahoo.com if you are interested in volunteering for the pro-bono clinic.

KABANC also encourages its members to volunteer at local legal outreach programs and clinics. Many Asian Americans, including Korean Americans, in the Bay Area cannot afford legal services. This is where you can make a difference!

ASIAN PACIFIC ISLAND LEGAL OUTREACH
to law students: if you are interested in providing legal assistance to the Asian American community, you may wish to consider volunteering your time at Asian Pacific Island Legal Outreach in Oakland. It's a terrific way to work with clients and witness the power of the law to assist others.

Social Committee

The KABANC Social Committee strives to foster relationships between KABANC members and affiliate organizations. We believe that building strong relationships within the legal community nurtures professional and personal growth, and we strive to ensure that our KABANC members have the opportunity to develop these relationships.

Women's Committee

The goal of the KABANC Women’s Committee is to promote and support the career advancement and professional development of female attorneys. The Committee seeks to provide women with opportunities to network as well as advocate for greater representation of women in the legal field. If you are interested in joining or supporting the KABANC Women’s Committee, please contact us at: kabancwomen@gmail.com
